Meet the Counselor

Iā€™m Nikki Layne, a LPCC in the state of KY. My work as a counselor over the last 9+ years inspired me to establish my own practice, Counseling in the Holler, LLC. I specialize in guiding clients through various challenges, including stress and anxiety, LGBTQI+ issues, motivation, self-esteem, addiction, and depression. My approach is eclectic, incorporating a range of therapeutic techniques such as person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). I am committed to creating a safe and open environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. My personal experiences with self-identity, anxiety, and depression within a resource-limited rural community fuel my passion for this work. As a proud member of the LGBTQI community, I am especially devoted to supporting individuals from all backgrounds, empowering them to thrive and navigate their unique challenges. At Counseling in the Holler, LLC, I offer telehealth services to ensure accessibility for those who may find it difficult to seek help in person. I commend you for taking the courageous step to reach out for support, as initiating that first session can be daunting. Together, we will explore your emotions, confront challenges, and uncover your strengths, guiding you toward a fulfilling life aligned with your values and aspirations. I look forward to working with you on your journey toward wellness. Everyone is welcome here, and I am excited to support you in your path to healing and growth.
